Hey DGC!!

I just wanted to give a shout out to my local grow shop and the DGC.

I’m in my 4th year of growing my medicine of choice up here in Canada’s Capital, Ottawa. Surprisingly, there are only 2 or 3 grow shops in the city, considering its legal to grow, consume, etc… that said, I wanted shout out to my local shop, Hydroculture Emporium, owned by Denis Java Bergeron.

When I decided to upgrade my grow with a new light to complement my new 3×3, I landed on a 300l Rspec, by Horticultural Lighting Group (HLG). With a DGC discount code I went to the HLG website to buy a light. I checked the price at checkout  and gave a pause. Shipping was an expensive addition, if I didn’t want to wait 4 to 6 weeks! I then thought of my guy, Denis at the grow shop. They recently brought in HLG lights and I thought maybe he’d match the price.

Shops like Hydroculture Emporium are dying thanks to Amazon and online shopping. I really value the face to face experience of buying from a shop – talking about the product, trusting the seller, product service and walking out with something in my hands .

That said, I called Denis and asked about the light price and he was willing to match the cost (including shipping)  and I could pick it up today! Boom! I killed 2 birds with 1 stone – got an awesome price on a great light and supported my grow shop!
