Every day this time of year is a day to pick through your buds. This is a big reason why I actually keep my greenhouse super pruned. Train your eye to see the anomaly of the weird leaf coming out of your bud. Number one color will be off, number two shape of the leaf will be different than the others. At the time it’s almost as if it’s giving me sort of a look of disgust. Number 3, check all of your known injury areas. And probably the biggest one is where the sun goes down first. Or where it rises last. Always a sneaky spot that you will get to know. I get a spot of it every year. The difference between it, being a problem or simply a canary in the coal mine, early detection. I have some  very dense stranger cookie from constantly elevated, and it is in a spot that the sun goes down quite early.. Doubled is the fact that the plastic is warped above it. Thus creating a spot where water will collect and drip. So that’s where I know to look always first. Is there a plant that you see a lot of caterpillars around? If so, you better check every bud. You might have a bunch of surprise Easter eggs. If the caterpillars are actually caterpillar. that means they already hatched out of the egg and ate and shit their way through your bud. You can lose an ounce, you can lose a pound. Whatever you want I guess. First picture shows the discolored leaf. This would be very first stage. A lot of time someone may not notice it until this leave. Here has turned brown. A simple tug on it will tell you. if it is rotting from the inside. If it slips out effortlessly. Then you have what you see in the second picture. Now, since I have pretty good indication, that this is an environmental condition, infection, I can decide to continue to carry on. If this was a larger problem, or if this was live caterpillars at the base of my plants, I would probably chop the whole thing after inspecting a few dirty buds. well, hopefully this Goes through. I’m still using recharge every single water. But I only use a quarter to a half strength. Just an FYI.
