Nice haul man! That shit is like crack for plants… Peat moss based. All you do is add some 3 part or whatever hydro nutes you like every day because the high porosity loses moisture rapidly so you can’t really over water it. I want to try running bio-bizz through it daily to keep it organic. but have no idea if that would work.
You can use it as a media on its own by adding liquid nutrients, or you can blend some compost, aeration and amendments into it to turn it into a real soil.

Look into something called the OEG (Organic East Gardener) method on Instagram/Youtube. It uses this as the base, mixed with compost, worm castings, and a few dry amendments to make a kickass soil that is pretty much water only. I’ve been using this as a veg mix for a while and slightly modifying it for Flower and my girls love it. Of course I add beneficial bacteria like Recharge, URB, Fish Sh!t, and compost teas to supercharge my soil.
i know this is an old post, but can i ask what has your experience been with promix so far? i have this same medium that i decided to give a try. im not sure if i like it to be honest. i cant tell if its holding too much water or not. it seems to hold on to wayyyy more water than coco does. I feel like the same nutrient mix in coco vs promix is totally different. I feel like coco holds more. Im referring to salt based feeding here…GH 3part
i believe it is also buffered with lime, so its already loaded with calmag. This i think is causing problems for me also.
I’ve experimented with the down to earth and dr earth as top dressings….i wont do it again. Gnats love the dead organic matter right at the top of the soil. I also think it takes at least a month to break down and become plant available….it just creates a crust at the top of your soil and actually rotted a healthy stem into nothing.
I am going to try organic amendments again, but im going to let it cook all summer – like how the supersoil dudes do it.
