Hey guys
thanks for all the advice and information on the show and also to everyone that chips in on here, it’s very hard to get solid advice where it’s still illegal!
I have this issue with some, not all of my seedlings they are about 4/5weeks old and have started to curl up/ canoe, have had light feedings, about ec 1.0 and pH 6.0. Humidity 65-70% and temp 27c daytime and 22c nighttime, under sk602 dialed back to 150 watts, strains are money maker and the church cbd. I have had this issue before and they have grown out of it but this has got to slow them up a lot!
High temps and/or low humidity. This happens when their environment quickly swings. I think your environment monitor is lying to you. How are you measuring the environment?
I agree with mystro, indicitive of heat stress/humidity issue. My understandng is that with a really low humidity and higher temperature, the plant will be transpiring at a crazy rate. The atmosphere sucks the moisture out of the leaf and the edges curl up. I think it’s time to order a pulse!
Also look into your lights on spike in humidity. Mine usually shoots up at lights off but I’m sure you could get a negative spike at lights on.
I think your bang on with what has caused it, I realised straight away, I usually have a oil heater for heating but had to swap it out with a fan heater, I can assume that is drying the hell out of the air in that zone, as far as control I have one heater on the light timer set to 27 for daytime and another set at 22 for lights off, for humidity I have a humidifier set on a timer for day time that turns off 15 min before lights turn off to try prevent any spike, also yes I think I need a pulse but I’m saving for an environmental controller so I can run co2
