Hey guys, I heard your mention of Dynavap. I’ve used a Dynavap for about three years now; first the “M” model, then I gifted myself a titanium “Omni” model this past Christmas. If you are a flower fan, I recommend these emphatically.
Be a little patient until you learn the ropes with it as your experience will improve dramatically with practice.
This is a vaporizer of dry flower, not a one-hitter. The bowl functions as a heat sync, providing top shelf hits with a minimum of herb. I usually get three hits from a bowl, with the first one being the most flavorful and the second being the money hit. It’s VERY economical with your flower. In fact, don’t pack the bowl tightly as it wastes weed and hinders airflow.
They aren’t cheap, but they are worth their price. I’ve bought directly from Dynavap themselves since the shops don’t often carry them.
This is a very discreet, compact, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing piece of gear. The kits provide all you need, but I do recommend that you pick up a spare cap, o-rings, and screens. I think if Dude tries one of these, he will be a proponent.
Loving the show. Happy that I’m able to support your good work I’ve seen a few changes since my first J in 1975. Still struggling with prohibition in the Deep South, so keep up the good work.
Water Boy
Thanks water boy!!! Mine is shipping to me now. I purchased from ‘planet of the vapes’. Thanks for the tips! I’m excited.
Got mine in. You are right… there’s a little bit of a learning curve to it. Here’s a question, for a perfect vape of 100% of the flower… what color /consistency of the bud should you see when you are completed with all the vapings…. brown/ black/ ash?
The material should turn light to medium brown. Not black. Black means combustion which is to be avoided.
Use at least a triple flame butane lighter. Heat toward the base of the little cap, while rotating the vaporizer in your fingers. Don’t direct the heat at the very end of the cap but rather at the base of the cap.
Listen for the snap sound when heating and stop heating immediately. (Note: You can experiment with heating a second after the snap when you get more experienced depending on the load in the oven). Don’t begin to reheat until after you hear the snap again as the vaporizer cools down or until about 30 seconds have passed since heating if you don’t hear the snap on the cool down.
Don’t pack the oven tight with material. Fill it to the top, but loosely. I just push the vaporizer oven first into my stash and rotate it lightly until I get a lose pack in the oven. You shouldn’t need to pack it with your fingers.
Don’t get frustrated. I’m still learning after three years. It just gets better. I’ve been smoking as I said for over 45 years and this is one of the best stealth devices I’ve ever used. I use it even when stealth isn’t an issue. Guess you can tell I like it!
