Are these good or bad bugs? And how to tell the difference. Let’s get into some IPM today. Let’s see if you can tell the difference between a bad or good bug.
Phytoseiulus persimilis (predator)
Optimum Temperature and Humidity: 68-90°F and 60-90% Relative Humidity.
Neoseiulus (= Amblyseius) californicus
Low humidity Optimum Conditions: 50-105°F, 40-60% RH.
Phytoseiulus persimilis PLUS Sachets
Controlled Release: For preventative use, Controlled Release sachet mites emerge 8-12 days after application.
Excellent choice for pre-emergent control of mite infestations! Highly versatile and survive lower temperatures. Active down to 42°F.
Feltiella acarisuga – Spider Mite Destroyer
Use these predators for control of widespread spider mite infestations. Optimum Conditions: 68° – 81°F, ≈80% RH.
Scouting weekly with a jeweler’s loupe or magnifying glass. Bluetooth Digital Scope. Pruning, cleaning off anything weak. Keeping good air movement. Keeping the room clean (botanical oils as room maintenance?). Not bringing much into the grow. Keeping the environment right (temps/ humidity/ air circulation). Silica. Keep them growing strong! Nature preys on the weak!
What’s your IPM? Strong plants. Neem every week in veg. Silica. Scouting/ yellow sticky traps. Cultural practices. I don’t share any tools outside the grow. I don’t go in the grow if I’ve been around other plants before showering/ changing clothes (ie after going in the greenhouse or waking through the lawn).

NORML: State by State cannabis laws
Jefferyjackson – Ohio DGC November 7th get to polls. Issue 2 could be better but will give us home grow
Ohios_capt_dank – Ohio is either still growing in the basement or going to Michigan for their Weed. I fought for Cannabis in Ohio with North Coast NORML chapter in Lakewood Ohio from 96 to Dec of 99. In Ohio it’s All about the Money 💰… This was just the next move into the Rec market.
Papagrowsweed – Ohio is a med only state at the moment but rec will be in November’s ballot. Early polls show 60%+ support “treat marijuana like alcohol”. As for the med program, it’s a really a money grab. While the number of conditions for which medical marijuana can be used mirrors other medical states, it’s well known that anyone can get a PTSD diagnosis then get their card. As for the flower, it’s one of the highest priced flower when compared to other states. Only a few growers have quality bud, most is over dried and tumble trimmed resulting in a subpar product. Home grow (6 plants person or 12 plants household) included in the rec ballot initiative, so is growers can quit hiding in the shadows.
nuttree420 – definitely a lot of people constantly driving to Michigan for the rec market. Especially those cities that border Ohio with recreational cannabis readily available. I’m in hopes of the farmers’ market style sales where the communities come together and share their crafts. Grown cannabis with the rest of Ohio. It’s time O High O comes up out of the basement and maybe has some fenced-in outdoor grows. I would love to place some plants even on my front porch where it faces south and gets lots of natural sunshine. It’s still this stigma, we gotta break and band together. November 7th, it is important to all of us to get out there and vote. It is a step in the right direction!
