Hey ya’ll, In my cannabis wanderings happened to take a road trip and stop by some friends for a smoke stop….the daughter knows I grow and proudly wanted to show me her plant…..thinking there was a tent I was surprised to go outside and in a lean to there was a Sativa Lady….the amazing thing is in this area it drops at night to sub freezing and the high temp the last 3 weeks has been 63…. She is scraggly but nice color? Being a former WA outdoor grower I have seen what cold does to cannabis…how in the hell is this Lady thriving?
Antarctic Weed?

She’s gotta be bringing that thing in at night, right?
Ya ,Memes, Her Lady sits in a shed open the side burlap for sun etc…just pulled her out to look at her..just an impressive sativa there! Still it was COLD in that lean to around 10 pm in the low 40s to be sure. Happy New Years
Could be a plant that uptakes silica well. Silica helps plants get through cold weather by replacing some of the water around the plant cells with a cellulose type substance that doesn’t freeze like water in cold weather, and helps the plant from being damaged by frost and cold.
Can you get her to mail you a cutting and see if you can replicate the conditions?
Verde, sure I could just go get one if I wanted,I have nowhere to clone care/ veg her….one 4×8 tent here and mine are almost week 5 flower……..good friends not hard to attain lol…there are other examples apparently in that region of outdoor sativa handling severe cold from what I understand as well.. not an area to ask too many questions.
