How come I don’t really hear anybody taking about Air-Layering Pods, especially when cloning big ass mother plants to save space AND already vegged genetics.
Technically you could keep a MUCK STRONGER and Healthier and MUCH SHORTER (practically as short as you want) to save genetics like this? Yes / No?
Seems like with this method where you can consistently (and without really damaging the plant, create a guaranteed, sprouted clone) from the trunk or limb.
This looks like it’ll definitely work, it would probably take a lot longer than cutting a clone and using rockwool, rapid rooters, etc.
Just another tool in the toolbox. Main reason is the plant is fairly easy to clone and quite often many are needed.

Thanks for all the comments.
A buddy of mine transferred a bunch of strong short rooted trunk mothers from outdoor plants from when he was moving from state to state. I thought it was genius since the weak clones could have died in the temperatures he was traveling in. I thought of it as like plant insurance for long travel.
