I have been looking into using infrared towards the end of my bloom cycle to boost trichome production and/or thc content. I dont know anyone testing this particular idea but if i remember correctly the earth gets more infrared light in the fall. If you guys have any knowledge on this I would love to hear. Thanks

far red is uva I believe. uva and uvb will make more trichomes and uva can also affect morphological traits
UV and far red are opposite ends of the spectrum. The far red will help put the girls to sleep as well as provide some spectrum good for flower growth. You could also create the Emerson Effect if you have the right ratio of far red and 660 nanometers. UV and a more blue spectrum can help bring out some resin production late in flower. I have heard of some HID growers switch their hps to a metal halide before harvest to boost resin production. I run 2 24inch T5’s that put out 54w of 75%UVb and 25% UVa.
I run hid and yes about two weeks from finish i put a 7500 Kelvin mh and WOW makes every sticky
What kind of schedule do you run with the UVA/UVB?
the Emerson Effect is 730 nm
